About time I updated this Blog, Now please take the time to read it

Well since my last Blog a few things have happened, I've been out every weekend bike riding a minimum of 15 miles each time also walking a minimum of 10 miles.

Most of Febuary i spent walking
over The Malvern Hills walking
from North Hill to over looking
British Camp a wonderfull walk.

Here are a few pictures which I took while on the Hills

On another walk which was the day after I had gone out to a friend of mine 50th Birthday party (Well done David Starkey a Great Night) and bumping into some old school friends I was suffering with a small hangover i ended up going for a walk along the

Worcester to birmingham canel
With Andrew Johnson and we
walked from Blackpole to
DunhampsteadTunnel and back
approx 10 miles in pouring rain,
sleet & snow and very cold a
great cure for a hangover.

I will update some more later but please help us raise some funds for Action Medical Research for Children

Malvern Hill climb

Saturday Morning off to Malvern I went, this time it was near West Malvern as my starting point. Still quiet dark when I started going up the first hill (North Hill(Elevation 397Mtr's) where about half way up i went around towards West Malvern side of the hill before heading up to the top where i struggled to stay standing as it was blowing a gale. after spending a couple of minutes enjoying the view and taking a couple of photo's i headed off towards Sugarloaf Hill (Elevation 368Mtr's) and finally up to The Worcestershire Beacon(Elevation 425 Mtr's) where the views were stunning looking across to The Brecon Beacons

I spent 2 1/2 hours walking the Hills enjoying every minute of it almost losing my glasses after the wind caught them and blew them clean of my head flying about 30feet through the air. I went searching for them and just when I though I had lost them turning around and there they where almost at my feet( Very Lucky to find them)

This coming Weekend I could be going on a walk somewhere near Bewdley, Worcestershire, with some of the people with whom i'll be walking The Worcestershire Way with.

Worcestershire Way (May2012) & 3 Peaks Challenge (June 2012) next stage training session

Off this morning I went over to Malvern to walk the hills, i started my walk on The West Malvern Road then up to British Camp and then onto the Worcestershire Beacon. Having last walked up there when I was about 11 or 12 years old. I spent just over  2 1/2 Hours going up and down trying to aviod ready made paths taking harder routes which a coupleof times I became breathless so stopped for a short moment then on my way again to I think Gullet Quarry going to the top of every peak on the way. I found the walk to be most benifical to my legs which were aching a bit, my new walking boots were perfect no blisters or sores which I was surprised about. Upon getting home I went out on my bike and rode a few miles.
The link below takes you to Facebook where I have posted some photographs that I took.

The Next Part of my Training

Erected in 1897 to commemorate Queen Victoria's
diamond jubilee, the toposcope identifies the hills
visible on a clear day such as this one. Behind
can be seen North Hill
I started back last Thursday at Cardio fit class which I found quiet easy as during the Christmas Hol's i had been out a lot on my bike (7 days out of 10) covering well over 120 miles. i'm now looking forward to the morning as i'm off to Malvern to start the next part of my training towards doing the Worcestershire Way walk ( All 31 miles of it for The British Heart Foundation ) on May Bank holiday then in June The 3 Peaks Challenge (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike & Snowdon in 24 hours for Action Medical Research, for children, for life). Both are something which in the past just would not interested me one little bit but after my recent health issues I feel I have been given a second chance so I'm gonna make the most of it and do something to help others
